Ozzy Osbourne’s house was put up for sale several months ago, which gives us a look inside his house, designed by Sharon Osbourne’s favorite designer, author, and star of the one time show Million Dollar Decorators, Martyn Lawrence-Bullard.
I don’t know what their house looked like in the height of Ozzy’s fame, but this is a far cry from what I would expect, although if you watched the MTV show, The Osbournes, you saw another one of their homes that had some of the same sensibilities.
Love the porter chairs!
This picture is from the MSL listing…I like Architectural Digest’s layout better.
Evening view of MLS listing…
Barn doors used as a backdrop in their family room.
Another view of the family room.
Sharon Osbourne’s home office
Wood paneled library
Dining room
Kitchen – I also loved the Osbourne’s kitchen in their home that was on the MTV show, The Osbournes, which had buttery yellows.
Breakfast room
Stone covered patio
I believe we’ve seen this bed before! Remember my post, Canopy Beds Aren’t Just for Little Girls? I liked how the bed was treated in that post much better (as it was SO unusual!)
Same room! different photographers! This photo is from the MLS listing, so the room looks much more subdued (maybe intentional?)
This room (I think) would benefit from a creamy, plush rug (maybe sheepskin), but the floor is so interesting. If you look closely, you can see that it is actually painted hardwood .
A freestanding, deep tub off of the master bedroom.
The interesting thing about this house is the use of blue throughout. It makes for a flow and transition from room to room, instead of jarring the eye when entering another room with a completely new palette.
So interesting to see what others do in there house, especially when money is no object, they have hired a professional and what they are attracted to in terms of style….
Have a great day!
WOW!
You are right it is not what you would expect. I think it is quite lovely.
Cynthia
Actually some nice rooms. Somehow thought it would be wilder then this. Thanks for sharing.
Love the tub! *drools*
I also want to know what kinds of books are on the shelves. And the staircase is wonderful!
It’s too much blue for me. It’s one thing for a smooth transition from room to room but it’s way too much of the same colour for me. (might be just THAT colour lol)
Love the little details too.
Haha!! I tried to look at the book titles too! I’ve never seen a color carried throughout an *entire* home – I agree, a little much – and too predictable, like, “Oh look, ANOTHER room with blue!”
LMAO! Exactly! It certainly makes that wood paneled room stand out.
I’m amazed! And not a headless dove in sight
I’m in love with the dining room – beautiful furniture and a lovely color palette!
Beautiful post!
I love how cozy the family room looks but I really do not like the kitchen or dining room…so cold and boring…
Amazing views from the stairs and patio!
What a Beautiful Place – my fav is the patio – thanks for sharing! Have a Great Day!

Wow! What a beautiful house!
That was fun!
Have you done any posts about bathtubs? I’m looking to change up the shower in our bathroom, but the tub would have to be basically square to fit the space. Do you have any unusual tub pictures??
Huh! Is it a perfect square? Could a person stretch out? I did several posts on bathrooms in general, but I was focusing in color schemes, not shape. There are some round ones (I think) in there, which I have in my master bath too and are more readily available than a square and could be fitted into a square. Thoughts? I can look through my files for square tubs too.
I haven’t measured as of yet, but it looks basically square. I would think a circular one would work fine with a cool circle shower curtain inside for showering purposes. That would be fabulous. I could put little shelves in the two wall corners if need be.
If I have some good pics in my bathroom files, I’ll post them up for you. I’m short on time, so it’ll probably be a little short on words if that’s ok…
Ha! Your asking my permission to be “short on words” when you are taking time out of your day to do a huge favor for me?! Of course it’s okay! If I have questions on specific ones, I may have to ask for your expertise, but probably I can figure it out from the pictures. No worries! Thank you!
Haha! I just didn’t want to throw it up there and you be like, “What the hell? Where’s the commentary?” Definitely ask questions if needed 🙂
Haha! You’re a riot. I love it.
They have very ecletic tastes. A nice combination of stuff you’d see in a “regular persons” house (my mother-in-law has a rooster on her kitchen table), a few gothic touches (love the crystal balls) mingled with opulence and elegance. Thanks for posting. Very tame compared to what you would expect but Sharon Osbourne is every bit the “lady” and has great taste.
Yes, thanks for sharing, and it is a bit of a surprise. I love the library and stone outside deck. The kitchen also has some nice touches including the antique cash register and I, too, love the bathtub!
Such fun! Those barn doors are beautifully decorated- I like them a lot. And I could live with a patio like that.
Totally agree!
What a beautiful home or homes. Drool drool!
The breakfast room is gorgeous! I keep wondering why I never get the luxury of such a room – or the time for a wonderful breakfast in a beautiful place 😦
Reblogged this on Accessorize This….
quite a beautiful home, I would buy it, if for nothing more than the gorgeous view from the patio
so thats what my place would look like with a cleaner;)
I like the family room nice and cosy and the views,
could also have a lot of sock sliding fun on those floors
those barn doors are to die for. I never been a fan of blue themes in the house but looking at these photos makes me rethink that.
You’ve been nominated by me for the Versatile Blogger’s award. Which also means you won! Check it out — http://teepee12.wordpress.com/2012/06/09/im-a-versatile-blogger-thank-you/ !
Thank you SO much!! I am honored that you think so much of my blog!!
The view and entry way I like. All of the pale colors I do not. The pale blue makes it feel so cold.
Okay, so here’s what I’m thinking: (Sorry for hijacking the comments for those of you who only want to read people’s thoughts on Ozzy’s pad.) I looked a bit on-line for tubs that will fit my basically 4ft by 4ft tub area. No luck. I’m willing to give on the tub idea. I’m just not really crazy about my current standing shower situation. It’s tight and lame. So, how does the thought of river rocks grab you? (I know, what do you care. It’s not your house?) But bear with me here. I saw an episode of Househunters International where a couple in S. America looked at a house with a shower lined with river rocks. I thought it was supremely cool. We happen to have a load of those puppies in an unused trail in our yard. They are multi-colored, pleasingly round, and beautiful. We also have a small stack of short oblong shale (I think?) that could be useful. It would be a project for sure, one which my hubby already said he’s not be interested in helping with(!) but what do YOU think? Can it be DIY? Can I just cement the little dudes in there? Maybe the shale on the floor? Then a clear layer of something over the top to protect and smooth it out? Would cement be the right adhesive? It sounds odd, but I’m pretty sure that was what was used on the show. Thoughts?
I think I saw that episode!! I love the international version of House Hunters!! What style is your bathroom/house? River rock is something people either love or hate, so if you are going to sell your house in the near future, I would make sure it is subtle. I have a picture of one that is super pretty that I can put up if my little ones can peel themselves away from me for 10 minutes!!!! Love them to pieces, but geesh… 😉
It is ABSOLUTELY a DIY!! Don’t pay someone to do it -you definitely can!! Appy a layer of thin set, which is a tile adhesive, to the floor and place the rocks on it. Then come back and grout and definitely you will need a sealant since it is stone. I have been running around with my little ones for swim team, hair cuts, etc. and haven’t had time to do anything, but I did look at my bathroom pics and I do have some round and square tubs line we talked about…should I still post? I’ll try to post some stuff by Monday-ish AND a whack-a-doodle floor for showers/bathrooms that I think is really interesting. Ooh…I also have an idea that I’ve never seen before that I think would be awesome, so I want to research that and see if it’s possible to do. So much to do, so little time and I still have to finish my pilaster/column project…sigh…
And “What do I care it’s not my house?” I LOVE these things and I have no bathrooms to do, so I have to live vicariously through other people’s houses! 😉
First of all, you are awesome. Do you know that? Secondly, OF COURSE you love House Hunters! 😉 Third, whenever you can is great. I’m certainly not trying to rush you. Forth, okay, enough with the counting. I didn’t know r. rocks were love/hate. I don’t plan on selling any time soon, certainly not until the fruit trees we’ve planted have matured and been worth their while–so, many years! But duly noted about the subtlety. The linoleum I plan to put down is “river shore-esque” in my humble opinion, so I think they will couple well. Not that you asked that, just fyi, I guess. I would love to see your pretty r.r. pic and the tub ones, but only if the latter are handy. I think I’m okay with not having a tub. We do have an outdoor hot tub for goodness sake. The tile and the cement don’t sound as appealing to me, so don’t bust your back about those for my sake.
Now, you told me how to do the floor, which sounds manageable, but does that carry over for the walls as well? Grout is a frightening word to me because of the difficulty in keeping it clean. Hasn’t something better than that been invented yet?
Awww!! Thank you!!!! I just posted your pictures – let me know if they were what you were looking for or if you need more. (Some girl just flamed me in a comment, which I couldn’t believe! She doesn’t even do design! UGH!!) The best price I could find on a (round) tub to fit your space was $1300 (yikes!) and I’m still not sure it would be ideal. I spent hours looking at that, so I didn’t get to the square tub and pricing. Definitely, you cando the walls…nothing better that I know of than grout except seal the grout! With stone (and I showed an example) the color will make a difference…let me know what you think!
I don’t think I need more pictures. I was actually amazed by how many you were able to find! Lots of great ideas in those, and it was nice to read in the comments that many people agree that they are an attractive addition to a bathroom. (Sorry about the flamer–she was totally lame.) Thank you so much for doing the research on the tub! I had only done a very modest search and didn’t find anything encouraging either. Oh well. At least I know that it has been thoroughly researched! Besides, if I put a tub in, there were would be less space to view the fabulous rocks! I have no idea when I will get this done, but when I do, I’ll be sure to show you the before and after pictures, eagerly hoping your keen and refined eye will approve! 🙂
Oh! I forgot! I also looked at tubs that people made out of tile, which supposedly didn’t hold up well in the long run, but I didn’t get too far on researching it. I also meant to see the feasibility of a tub that you make out of concrete, which you could stain, or what they do for pools….
Wow, nice!
I would never have expected the Prince of Darkness to have such a great amount of light and bright in his house. It must have been all Sharon’s idea!
Ashley
They loved pastel colors for sure.
Love the staircases, more items in the rooms than I would have expected and some of the rooms not at all what I thought I would see, beautiful thanks for sharing.
So lovely!
Much of their is quite lovely! I especially love the stair case, the floor in the master, and that covered patio! I would kill for less! 😉
