Happy Easter Everyone!! For obvious reasons, I’m keeping this brief, but wanted to give you some pastel eye candy of your own!
Following up on the last post, Celebrity Living Rooms, I wanted to show the rest of Jennifer Lopez’s home and the work of interior designer Michelle Workman.
The home is layered with pastel rooms in shades of blue, pink and peach with lots of texture, reflective surfaces (have I mentioned before how I LOVE those?), velvet, silks, leather, dark wood, and furniture with clean lines, giving the Art Deco style a distinct “old Hollywood” look.
So, sit back, sip your coffee and nibble on a chocolate bunny (or three – no judgement here!) and enjoy the pictures:
Her bedroom from a different angle. This home was built in the 1940’s, which explains the wood burning fireplace, because today building ordinances would not permit one in a bedroom as it can be dangerous (smoke inhalation/fires). A gas fireplace can be used with a sealed glass front.
Her dressing room in which the designer used one of her dresses.
Just lovely and romantic! My mind is pinging with ideas! Now let’s hope all the sugar the Easter Bunny brought does not make my children ping off the walls
I hope everyone enjoyed the peek and the pictures. Have a fabulous day!

I love the living room with the variety of greys and the crisp clean dark wood on the furniture. And the chandelier in the kitchen. The kitchen, overall, is just a *little* too bright for me but I love the structural style. Beautiful photos!
Happy Easter!

I once read that where ever she stays Jennifer Lopez requests totally white rooms, linens, furniture, etc. I can see from her home that she is in the mostly white mode. Nice to see a bit of color here and there. I love the kitchen! Since she doesn’t do her own hair each day, I can bet with you that she hasn’t ever lifted a pot in this room either! (I think she’s an extraordinary woman, but I guess you can detect my love/hate feelings for her :)) Great post once again!

Love her lighting fixtures and really love that kitchen!… the pale blue and passive colors with a completely contrasting black and gold oven. Never would have chosen that oven and yet, somehow it works. Love when something baffles my mind but works. 🙂

My house looks exactly like that!! Except for the colors and the fact we actually live in our house and evidence of that life seems to show up any old place. Jennifer’s house has no evidence of people; there are no shoes on the floor, pillows askew, coffee cups on the counter, crayons on the dining room table, cat sleeping on the bed, magazines, newspapers or cat or dog toys on the living room floor.

I am little obsessed with J.Lo so really appreciated this peek into her house! Your blog is beautiful. I am so impressed with you having the time to have such a well constructed hobby/talent with kids! Gives me inspiration to work in style and beauty where I can!

The pink dress is wonderful but I was surprised by the lack of bright colors in her house. It seems to calm for her. Lovely but calm.
ADetailedHouse said:
I agree! It’s not what I would have expected either…almost too sedate for her public persona!

Very beautiful photographs! They reveal your exquisite sense of style and taste. Our custom furniture and cabinetry are just the perfect thing for rooms such as these. Nothing else captures the scale and elegance required by high-end design in quite the same way.

this home is one of the most luxurious homes I’ve ever seen. those blue kitchen cabinets are unreal!! I WANT.
